GarageBand - A Review GarageBand is a software application for OS X and iOS that allows users to create music or podcasts.
GarageBand is developed and sold by Apple Inc. for OS X. GarageBand was formerly part of the iLife software suite. Its music and podcast creation system enables users to create multiple tracks with pre-made MIDI keyboards, pre-made loops, an array of various instrumental effects, and voice recordings.
GarageBand great for amatur podcasters, sound effect creators, music recorders movie makers and amatur DJ’s.
But if you are a professional podcaster, professional DJ or music recorder you should almost always invest in a better app.
I use garageband all the time for sound effects, recordings and podcasts but I am not a pro so I don’t need an app like Apple Logic Pro X $199.99.
Drummer, the virtual session player created using some of the industry’s top session drummers and recording engineers, now features 10 new beat‑making drummers in a range of electronic and Hip Hop music styles, including EDM, Dubstep, and Trap. Drummer also comes with 18 session players and acoustic kits covering popular genres like Rock, Alternative, and R&B. So you can choose from a total of 28 drummers to help fuel your creativity. The only bad thing I can think of about garageband is that the explosion sound effects (and a few others) are really not what I need. Seriously, Apple can do better.
But to end on happier note: Get garageband even if it’s just to muck around!
